Welcome to the School Building Authority of WV home page.  The School Building Authority (SBA) was created in 1989 by the West Virginia Legislature.  The Authority was empowered to facilitate and provide state funds for the construction and maintenance of school facilities to meet the educational needs of the people of the state in an efficient & economical manner (WV State Code 18-9D).

SBA Welcomes New Executive Director

On July 1, 2014, Mr. David A. Sneed was sworn in as the 3rd Executive Director of the School Building Authority of West Virginia. Mr. Sneed, who served as Chief or Architectural Services for the SBA from the agency's inception until 2012 and later as an educational facilities planner in the private sector, brings a wealth of knowlege and experience to serve the children of West Virginia.
